PROJECT DESCRIPTION
In 2011 DBRDS was invited to provide conceptual design for a new home on the Hawaiian island of Kauai. Collaborating with the owner & client, a New-Mexico based Architect who completed the project locally, DBRDS designed a series of breathable open-floor-plan pods that allowed air to flow throughout the entire proposed structure. Deep overhangs protected western glazing and generous elevated balcony spaces encouraged outdoor living.
